नसरीन ने ट्वीट करके कहा है, "मेरे हिंदू पूर्वज का नाम हरधन सरकार था। वे कायस्थ थे। उनके बेटे ने धर्मपरिवर्तन करके इस्लाम धर्म अपना लिया था। ये सूफी प्रभाव था? धर्म परिवर्तन करने के लिए वह मजबूर किए गए थे? मैं नहीं जानती।"
हिजाब-बुर्के को लेकर देशभर में हंगामा मचा हुआ है। सोशल मीडिया पर लोग अपने विचार शेयर कर रहे हैं। अब लेखिका तसलीमा नसरीन ने हिजाब को लेकर अपने विचार शेयर किए हैं। उन्होंने हिजाब-बुर्के की तुलना अंधकार युग से की है। उनका कहना है कि बुर्का अंधकार युग का पट्टा है। ये औरत की पसंद कभी हो ही नहीं सकती। ये एक औरत के लिए किसी अपमान से कम नहीं है। कथित इस्लाम विरोधी विचार रखने के कारण कट्टरपंथी संगठनों से धमकियां मिलने के बाद तस्लीमा ने साल 1994 में बांग्लादेश छोड़ दिया था। तब से लेकर अब तक वह निर्वासन का जीवन व्यतीत कर रही हैं।

Secular doesn't mean to ignore constitution. Constitution first thereafter religion because later is private matter. Every school must have a specific uniform and every student irrespective of their religion must follow.

India is a multi religious country but the conflict is always between two communities ie Hindu & Muslim. Why not with others? Are they not enjoying equal rights as per constitution?

फरवरी 11 को अदालत ने कहा कि वह प्रत्येक नागरिक के संवैधानिक अधिकारों की रक्षा करेगी और उचित समय पर मामलों की सुनवाई करेगी। यह नोट किया गया कि कर्नाटक उच्च न्यायालय पहले ही इस मामले को जब्त कर चुका था।
